Baby goat Julius goes to my SF gallery!

I want to share another part of my life with all. My farm! On Friday March 23rd from 6 - 8pm at Secession Art and Design I am going to bring some of my farm back to the city! Right now at my homestead farm called Lettuce Laugh Farms in Santa Rosa, California we have six baby goats! They are all just the cutest and I am bringing my favorite down with me to spend an evening at the gallery amongst another side of my world, my art work! Baby Julius will be in the house along with some homemade cheese tasting from my mother goat milkers. Please come down to the gallery to enjoy the mini farm experience, some of my small prints will be there just for the evening and of course the rest of the amazing artwork at Secession!

I moved to Sonoma County in 2010 with my husband straight to this homestead from San Francisco, knowing pretty much nothing about farming as I was a city kid raised in the East Bay and San Francisco. It has been a fun, rewarding but also a challenging journey! We strive for sustainability and producing as much of our food as we can. We raise milk goats, pigs, chickens and ducks along with expansive vegetable gardens and fruit trees. It is incredibly rewarding to sit down to a meal that we have grown and raised on the farm and also to share that with friends and family. It makes it all taste that much better and I am always grateful. My farm is continually enriching my dinner table, my life and my creative experience in the world!

I hope that you can come and see in small format the parts of my life, my farm and artwork coming together! If you can't make it to the gallery or do not live in the area you are welcome to follow me on Instagram or Facebook as a great way to see my farm life pics as well as new, finished and in process artwork!
